Overview

Our client is an International Bank based in Downtown Manhattan. They are looking for a Credit Officer to join their team with experience in Corporate Lending. This position will require 4 days per week in office.

Job Requirements:

· High level of analytical skills to conduct initial commercial loan analysis and monitor the loan’s progress in consideration of market trends, credit/interest rates, economic conditions, and other factors.

· Strong well-developed interpersonal skills in order to maximize business contact and develop a working relationship with potential and current commercial loan customers.

· Strong knowledge of commercial lending processes and regulations.

· Ability to do financial projections, analyze and interpret financial data of balance sheets, income statements, cash flow and key financial ratios.

· Good understanding and flexibility to intermingle with different cultural background.

· Possess good oral and written communication skills.

General Summary:

In accordance with established policies and procedures, assisting Head of Credit to ensure the efficient, effective operations of Credit Dept. Assisting Credit Officer for the organizing, planning, training and directing the staff. Assisting Credit Officerto review Credit Application prepares by other Credit Analysts and act like a liaison between Head Office and the branch regarding loan application and follow through with the application submitted to Head Office.

Duties and Responsibilities:

· Assist the Credit Officer to ensure the smooth flow of the Credit Department.

· Manage loan accounts to meet the established lending policies and requirements.

· Act as a liaison between Head Office and the branch regarding loan application and follow through with the application submitted to Head Office.

· Handle a specific number of loan accounts assigned by Credit Officer

· Maintain control over the accounts, watching for any developing problems and keeping the Credit Officer informed.

· Review all pertinent credit and financial information including analyst reports from banks and rating agencies and other sources.

· Gather business and industry information from publications for analysis purpose.

· Prepare application and credit analysis to establish/amend credit lines, present facts and offer opinions concerning creditworthiness to Marketing manager.

· Discuss about the credit analysis, summary and conclusion of each account with the Marketing manager before Loan Committee.

· Ensure that Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) is complied with in the area of responsibility.

· Exercise full official signing authority as stipulated by bank’s policies and procedures.

· Participates in the review and recommendations of Branch policy and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.

· Perform other bank-related work as may be deemed necessary by the Marketing Manager.

Level of Education and training required:

· College degree, finance or accounting preferred.

· Detail oriented individual with solid financial/accounting aptitude.

· A technical knowledge normally acquired through completion of adequate level of program in business administration, finance or related area.

· Efficient with cooperative habits and be able to quickly adjust to the fast pace of peak transaction periods and new business.

· Five or more years of progressively increasing responsible commercial lending experience.

Pay: $200,000-$240,000
