Job Description

The primary function of this position is to support the FVP CMS Director in the day-to-day execution of the Third Party Client Compliance Program for the Bank, which includes advising on the adequacy and development of controls to ensure consumer compliance with all federal and state laws and regulations, developing and updating the Bank’s compliance policies, procedures and processes, performing initial onboarding and annual compliance risk assessments, and providing oversight in various consumer compliance areas. This position is ideal for a person who will thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.

This position report directly to the FVP CMS Director with exposure to the SVP Chief Compliance Officer, Board of Directors, auditors, and regulators as well as other departments within the Bank. Being motivated, and passionate about consumer compliance, consumer compliance protection and having an entrepreneurial spirit to accomplishing goals and the business at hand is paramount. This individual will have the opportunity to contribute to the enhancement of the Bank’s Compliance Program while laying the groundwork for a scalable business.

  • Participate in & contribute to the execution of the Bank’s Compliance Programs, ensuring alignment with Corporate compliance and strategic direction and recommend policy and/or action based on internal and external industry developments for area of responsibility.
  • Provide compliance assessment, analysis, monitoring, and oversight of the Bank’s Third-Party Clients, including Prepaid Card Program Managers
  • Review marketing materials, disclosures, and other customer communications subject to consumer protection regulations for compliance.
  • Serve as a resource to business units, internal team members, and management providing a range of support and analysis on regulatory compliance requirements, issues, and/or best practices, including the provision of guidance in the design, development and/or enhancement of processes and controls to manage compliance risks.
  • Perform regulatory research in response to business unit compliance inquiries. Assist and support the business units on the implementation of new and amended laws and regulations.
  • Advise and consult on proposed new products, services, and initiatives regarding compliance obligations and corresponding compliance risks, and mitigating controls.
  • Provide support with regulatory compliance examinations, and/or compliance audits or reviews.
  • Monitor and report on compliance program adherence and issues to the FVP-CMS Director and SVP Chief ComplianceOfficer.
  • Develop and create trending analytics, heatmaps, key performance indicators, key risk indicators, and other metrics tomeasure and assess the Bank’s compliance risks to Third Party Clients, including Prepaid Card Program Managers.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS and ABILITIES (Required for this job.):

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance/Banking/Accounting or related field is required
  • Minimum 7 years performing relevant regulatory consumer compliance functions in the banking industry, and in-depthknowledge of deposit and lending products and applicable laws and regulations, included but not limited to Reg. DD,Reg. E, Reg. CC, ECOA, RESPA, TILA, HMDA, & FCRA. Prepaid Debit card knowledge.
  • Ability to analyze complex laws and regulations and relate those laws to operational procedures, company policies,and industry trends.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Excellent analytical and consultative skills: detail-oriented; ability to grasp new concepts quickly, synthesize complexinformation effectively, and communicate complicated issues clearly and simply to present clear and actionablechoices and recommendations; creative problem-solving skills.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $110,000.00 – $135,000.00 per year
